Teken Tag Tournament

Scored a copy of Teken Tag for $12.70 for the PS2 ! I have started unlocking the characters for the next "Slug Fest". Played Teken 4 against Ben, he is starting to get his form back. Is beating me 2 to 1 now.

Got past the Boss in the Gods Tower, it was quite hard to do, but then I got to see the storyline unfold. Man the team who made this game are really good at making RPG's. I am trying to find all the trees to water and see what goodies I will get. Go Zelda !

Started playing Darkstar One for the PC, I have always like space sims. This one is shaping up to be a good'in.

Mercy Rule in Wii Sports

Played quite a bit of Teken 4 on Thursday and Saturday night.

Played Wii sports with Jim and Ian. Got to witness the "Mercy Rule" when Jim got 5 runs, then Ian proceeded to go out in about 30 seconds. Quite funny at the time. A bit unfair for Ian through as he had never played baseball whereas Jim and I have had quite a few games.

Watched Jim go from base ranking in boxing to "Pro", the computer opponent got quite hard but Jim still KO'ed quite a few of them. I don't want to go against him in boxing in a hurry.

Still playing Zelda Windwalker, trying to get past the "boss" in the Gods Tower. I am finding it hard to hit the eyes in the hands with the bow. I suppose I am used to mouse and keyboard for my game playing action. Will try to finish this bit of the game soon.

Zelda Continues

I am really starting to like this game. It has so many side quests to complete, I think it would take hundreds of hours to fully complete. I think once I finish Zelda Windwalker, I may get straight into Twilight Princess. I like the fact that now I have bombs I can use then while at sea. It makes it lot easier when enemies turn up at sea. Otherwise you have to keep dodging and hope the wind will carry you away.

I also found out about the "Cyclone" god which I think is a good thing as it throws you to a random map square on the map. Now that I am making an effort to map all the map squares I was lucky to have laneded on an un-mapped square.

More Zelda and Wii Sports and more.

Played a bit of Zelda Wind Walker on the weekend. It is shaping up to be a good RPG. Sometimes the controls can be a bit of a pain in the arse, but what did I expect from a console with little thumb sticks. That is the main reason why I have stayed away from consoles. I think most PC game players are very pampered by being able to use a keyboard and mouse.

Had Jim and Shane over to play some Wii sports. Have a couple of sets of bowling. Quite a few rounds of Boxing. And a couple of Baseball games.

I also played Teken 4 for the PS2 with Ben from work on Friday night. We both unlocked 4 of the characters and then proceded to beat the crap out of each others characters. I then unlocked the remainer of the charaters the next morning. So that when Jim turned up on Sunday we had all the characters to play.

Pikmin, Pikmin 2 and Zelda

Since I now own a Wii, I decided to buy some of the more interesting gamecube games. As such I have gotten Pikmin, Pikmin 2 and Zelda Windwalker.

Pikmin & Pikmin 2

Oddly enough I played Pikmin 2 before Pikmin. But that is a good thing as Pikmin has a time limit on the number of days whereas Pikmin 2 doesn't. It gave me an a good feel for the gameplay so that when I did play Pikmin I had no trouble finishing it before the time has expired.

Note to self : When fighting the final boss in Pikmin. Use yellow Pikmin to grab bomb rocks and get the boss monster to eat them (or if you get the distance correctly just the bomb rock) which stuns it. Then throw red Pikmin at it's head repeat and rinse.

Zelda Windwalker

I have only started playing it, so I will post another update later. For now my first impressions are that is a nice RPG and I look forward to see where this game will go.

Start

I have decided to create a "blog" to keep track of my game playing. I am interested to see how long I can bother to do this for. It will also be interesting to look back and see what I was playing in times past.

I am doing this for myself, so I am not really worried about who reads it as I feel it would be quite boring to anyone else. I have left the blog open for anyone to read, but again I don't really care who reads it.
